		<description>Acrylics if you live with people and you don't want to stink the place up.  : )

Watercolors if you are a person that can go with the flow, including the sometimes uncontrollable qualities of watercolor.

Oil sticks are great because they allow you to draw your paintings, then you spread the color with turpentine or some other extender, and they give you better control which equals to less money spent on more paint to cover up the paint that you may have made a mistake with! ....whew! that was a mouthful!

		<description>i agree with the first answer, maybe try acrylics first too, because i personally find them easier to use than watercolours. to start with i'd just use paper, but proper painting paper or cartilidge paper, otherwise the paper will get all wet and curl up.</description>
