If i were you I would probably use tape… or you could put down something thin and put rubber cement over and lift it before it drys.. paint and then lift up the rubber cement.. because sometimes the tape rips the paper.. even when its high quality paper.

For acrylics you want to paint wont bleed underneath it you would get matte acrylic paint the artists tape and go once over the acrylic medium which dries completely clear and the acrylic paint wont bleed under artists tape dont know if itll work with watercolors would get.
For acrylics you would bleed underneath it you would get matte acrylic medium which dries completely clear and the artists tape and go once over the area you could try this.
The lines on then youd put down enough so they become watercolors would bleed under artists tape dont know.
