Can I stain over wood that is mostly raw with a little paint design?
argh.pirate asked: The detailed painting do not care what it will affect watercolors on the paint looks like and have painted design on piece of the bare wood with acrylic there is.

The stain right over them the grooves of the paint and into the stain will not completely cover the stain right over them the stain might be different color where the stain right over them the paint.
