I think if thay are crated,and packaged like a fragile item they should be ok,but to be sure I would have them insured.Or you could pick them up yourself and if you are storing them,make sure they are in a warm and dry place without them going against anything that could distort them.

The fogging of rare books and doesnt have an effect on oil paintings from one temperature or lithographs or prints or prints as the spring good luck.

Make sure they are delicate with them, so say that when they are shipping. you have to pay extra for that. And make sure they put that protective stuff over the painting. It keeps your picture from chipping and keeps it in shape longer. make sure it is in a good container, box or what not, to make it where it wont really move inside. And make the painting itself is covered nicely. In this weather right now, I would say get it on express delivery, just to make sure. If you can pick them up yourself though, I would, defiantly.

Extreme cold will make them more brittle and possibly cause more cracking.
