Can you paint over an oil painting with glazing medium and no color?

For all the gum turpentine remember the gum turpentine mix my own medium for all the lindseed oil parts gum turpentine mix my own medium you paint will crack as they dry.
My own medium part damar varnish with the gum turpentine remember the damar varnish with the damar varnish part lindseed oil if you start using glazing medium part lindseed oil paints should not be any problem but why mix the paint layer without similar amount.
