The colours are less brash and more realistic.

Its on the number of details.
The more the details, the more realistic a comic character becomes.
The lesser the details, the more cartoon-ish it is.
But the anatomy also has to do with it. You know what I mean
And also, If you add more shades (shadows), it becomes more realistic…
